Serve

Being a Christian is not a spectator sport; God invites us and calls us to reach out with Christ's love in real ways to the people around us.  In serving others, we grow closer to God, to the people we serve, and to our talents and purpose in life. Grace does a lot on a regular basis to reach out to the local community, our nation, and our world.  Here are a few ways to serve God here at Grace Lutheran:

  • Men of Grace (the MOG Squad) - These guys support each other, pray together, and work on projects together.  The annual Pork and Sauerkraut dinner is one of their main ways of serving others, but they also help maintain the facilities that we use to serve the community.

  • Youth Service Projects - Our youth regularly do projects through Sunday School, Confirmation, and Youth Group to help our neighbors here in Hubbard and beyond.  Whether it's serving through Joshua House in Steubenville or raising money for anti-malaria work, serving is a big part of growing up in the faith.

  • Hubbard Christians in Action - We partner with other churches in the area to do Vacation Bible School, maintain a community food pantry and clothes closet, and to serve our neighbors in other ways.

  • ... And many more!  Grace is always looking for ways to help those around us in Jesus' name!
